Eat.Pray.Love.

Hello from Ubud, Bali! :)

I’m taking some quiet time-off at Bali right now, catching up with a good book, morning yogas, and stuffing myself with Thai food. Balinese massage is like a daily affair. What a bliss!

I promised to keep my MacBook out of sight, but I couldn’t wait any longer to share this picture of me taking a morning walk at the field.

What a sweet escape from the city!

I was wearing my new embroidered silk tunic dress by Collette Dinnigan and fedora from Eugenia Kim. I’ve always loved Collette Dinnigan’s dresses, blame it on my soft spot for lace, embroideries, appliques and such! I got this dress online from Ardor Designer.

Here’s some good news for all of you while I’m away! Ardor Designer is offering 15% discount for all Plasterdoll fans for a limited time. At checkout, enter discount code “PLASTERDOLL” and you will be entitled a 15% discount of your total purchase price.

Men’s Fashion: My First Spring Look

Hello!

Today I’m finally updating you with my Spring look, it’s been a while, I know. Managed to squeeze in some time taking some pictures before I catch the train for a weekend trip.

What I love about early Spring is that the weather is still chilly enough for jackets but I can ditch those thick wool scarves for some lighter weight ones. Socks can go since now I tend to just slip on a pair of loafers.

My current favourite suede tasselled loafers from Alexander McQueen.

This Spring I’ve been wearing lots of print scarves. Today I chose a paisley print scarf from Junya Watanabe and a matching pocket square. Whenever I wear both a scarf and pocket square, I tend to coordinate the colours so they complement rather than clash. I like how this jacket transitions easily from winter to spring with some added Spring touches.

Have a great Sunday, you all!

Mary Katrantzou for Topshop

If there is one trend that you must follow this Spring, it has got to be prints. I mean, crazy prints.

And what other prints can top the queen of print Mary Katrantzou’s signature vibrant crazy prints?

I went all crazy when Mary Katrantzou for Topshop‘s collection was launched and managed to get myself this super-cute balloon tulip satin floral dress. Although I ended up with more bandaids on my forehead right after! :( Things I would do for fashion, you’d be amazed :)

If you haven’t gotten any, I’m afraid you are too late because apparently it’s all sold out. Early bird catches the worm, can’t agree more.

Wearing the perfect floral dress chilling at my own Alice in Wonderland tea party.

Earl grey milk tea, home-baked cookies and lovely cupcakes served in coordinated plates and tea sets. My afternoon tea party is perfect! ;)

Super-LOVE these gorgeous prints! The balloon structure of the dress makes it even more quirky :)

Between Friends

Right after we did a customised Plasterdoll for Liz and Sam, we did another one for two fashion forward and tech savvy besties, Liz and Holly.

Between friends – Liz (left) and Holly (right)

Actually it was just “me”, as you can see I played both Liz and Holly. Liz hair colour and length is very similar to mine so all I needed to do was to plait my hair. Holly has shorter light brunette hair so I had to wear a wig for the shoot.

Liz is the Co-founder of Bowerhaus (I’m drooling over their new collection of necklaces and bracelets!) and I love how I could stack a few of them in one look! Chanel bag and iPad – can we say it’s a necessity for the fashion forward and tech savvy one? ;)

Love how Holly’s smart casual look is accessorised with Bowerhaus necklace and bracelets, and a Goyard to complement the look :)

If you’re thinking of having your very own customised Plasterdoll prints, talk to us and we can start giving your some ideas!

Whether it is for yourself….

….For a bestie….

….Or a loved one….

….Or for sisters….

From Her to Him

Recently, a fan of ours, Liz, contacted us for a personalised gift for a special someone, Sam. Here it is, customised Plasterdolls for Liz and Sam!

Me as Liz, and Stefano as Sam. Always loved doing customised Plasterdolls because we get to role-play and do things we may not usually do! This time around, we’re out sailing on a beautiful Sunday :)

Stefano sure looked like a promising doctor! I played the Co-founder of Bowerhaus, wearing a gorgeous necklace from Bowerhaus, of course.

Customised Plasterdoll prints make a fantastic personalised gift for a special someone. We have done many for couples, besties, friends, mother & daughter, mother & son etc. Here’s to give you a quick idea what you can do!

The Golden Globe Couple

Hi everyone!!

It’s Georgina here taking over Summer’s blogging task. ;)

I was asked by Summer to be the ‘guest blogger’ and to post up my best recent picture. And it is non other than my red carpet look at the recent 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards! I mean, obviously I had to look my very best in my most gorgeous dress for Hollywood’s most star-studded event!

The gorgeous one should always be escorted accompanied by an equally handsome gentleman (just like Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt?), so obviously Stefano had to dress his best for me ;)

Get Stefano’s look : 1| Lanvin Silk Pocket Square (from mrporter.com)  2| Burberry Prorsum Tailored Tuxedo Suit Jacket (from mrporter.com)  3| Dolce & Gabbana Classic Silk Bow Tie (from mrporter.com)  4| Yves Saint Laurent Tuxedo Shirt (from mrporter.com)  5| For shoes, opt for loafers instead of the usual lace-ups. Stefano wears Yves Saint Laurent Smoking Patent Leather Loafers (from mrporter.com)  6| Burberry Prorsum Classic Wool Tuxedo Trousers (from mrporter.com)

Yes, men are like that, they shop everything from one shop/site :P

My gorgeous glittery fishtail gown is from Zuhair Murad (bought from farfetch.com) Amazing how my Alexander McQueen Britannia Skull crystal-studded suede box clutch (from net-a-porter.com) goes perfectly with the dress.

To complete my look:  3| Cartier Lanières Long Earrings (from cartier.com)  4| Miu Miu Crystal-embellished Suede Sandals  (from net-a-porter.com)

Lastly, never leave home without painting your nails! I used OPI’s glittery nail polish. Sparkle all the wayyyyy!

More pictures from red carpet at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards:

Charlize Theron looking gorgeous as ever in this pale blush Dior Couture gown ♥

Claire Danes in J.Mendel gown. Love the bare-back and details at the sides! ♥

Salma Hayek in a glittery black Gucci gown

Sofia Vergara looking HOT in this Vera Wang gown ♥

Nicole Kidman in a glittery gold Versace gown

Elle Macpherson in Zac Posen Ballgown. How elegant!! ♥

And how could it be complete without a picture of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt?

What a gorgeous couple!

Now, could anyone be nice enough to tell us we look better than Brangelina? ;)

Cruising with Louis Vuitton

I know it’s only the first week of 2012, but there’s nothing wrong picturing yourself in your next vacation. Or better still, start planning for one?

Today I’m cruising with Louis Vuitton’s Resort 2012 collection — Lucky me! Oh well, traveling is part of my job ;)

My favourite Resort style has always been nautical and nothing tops this piece from Louis Vuitton. My sailor cap from a local party shop completes the look perfectly ;)

It’s windy as you can see, and the weather is still a little chilly…

Need to brush and blow my hair again after this! :P

Much love, Summer (a.k.a Plasterdoll)

Polka Dot for Winter

If there’s a trend you shouldn’t miss this winter, we think it’s polka dot! We are absolutely loving our super-kitsch and quirky polka dot winter pieces from Marc Jacobs.

Complete with a miniature beret and to polka dot sheer tights, we are all set to be spotted by the cameras.

Marc Jacob’s Fall/Winter 2011 ad campaign in the human world sure did catch a lot of attention when it was launched. An unexpected new face, british actress Helena Bonham Carter, was the spokesface for the ad, looking somewhat twisted and clowny. Interesting art direction we think!

Can’t say we like it but it definitely did make us go “WOW”. Makes us wonder if we should make our Plasterdoll ad campaigns more interesting ;)
