Dolls are not Freaky

Today at my shoot for Tsumori Chisato‘s latest spring/summer 2009 collection, my hairstylist created a bedhead look for me. I actually was quite pleased with my new look until I overheard at the changing room some unpleasant comments that my supposedly sexy look seemed freaky to them <:(

I know I should be happy that most people find me adorable, but I can’t help recalling this: A friend once told me how some people (human) react to dolls with hugh doe eyes (what they call ‘lifeless eyes’!), and how dolls like us remind them of Chucky or some childhood nightmare. What hurtful comments.

Please tell me I am nothing like Chucky.

Hi Rach,Kino’s air shipment dates are Wednesdays and Fridays of each week, so you can ecexpt the magazines to arrive on the Wed/Fri closest to their date of release in Japan. Sometimes mags that come out on a Thursday in Japan arrive at Kino in Singapore on the Wednesday before that. You can always call up Kino and ask them which day the mags are ecexpted to arrive. Sweet has become more expensive, and you can ecexpt it to be priced about S$18-20. The June issue of InRed is also priced at 680yen in Japan, bit higher than its usual price, so I think it will also be close to S$20 in Singapore.
